The Urban League of Palm Beach County’s Project Moving Forward program hosted its First Annual Social Justice Summit on Aug. 10.

Rickey Aikens, CEO of Inner City Innovators, was the featured speaker, giving youth tips on how to be SAFE (Smart, Alert, Fearless, and an Example) in their communities.

Also, international basketball star, Leemire Goldwire, spoke to our youth, sharing his story of overcoming hardships of his childhood, including the loss of his parents, poverty, and community violence.

Our young people enjoyed a day of fellowship, food, and music.
