The Urban League of Palm Beach County honored four partners with the annual Community Champion Award during the 10th annual Youth Empowerment Celebration on February 25.
The honors went to Bank of America, Florida Power & Light, Office Depot, and Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
The award honors an individual, organization or company exemplifying community leadership through actions that reflect the mission of the Urban League of Palm Beach County.
In addition, each award recipient is committed towards investing in the community and bringing together people and helping them achieve social and economic equality through youth education programs.
“We are truly grateful to our four Community Champion Award honorees,” said Patrick Franklin, President and CEO of Urban League of Palm Beach County.
He added: “The honorees demonstrate a vision and selfless commitment towards moving the community forward through volunteerism, character building, leadership, philanthropy, employee engagement, public advocacy and a sense of caring and responsibility for others, thus, embodying the spirit of service and community.”
