I joined the Urban League Board of Directors several years ago as I was looking for an opportunity to give back to the Community in a meaningful and personal way. At one time or another, we have or have someone very close to us need opportunity to better our lives. While attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I worked as a Legislative Aide and became very familiar with the plight of minorities in inner city Milwaukee. This left a lasting impression and many, many years later, I discovered the Urban League through a good friend and former Urban League Chairperson, Nancy Robin. I am inspired by the testimonials of individuals served and the passion of the Urban League staff to carry out its mission.
Greenberg Traurig, LLP
I joined the Urban League of Palm Beach County Board of Directors because of the organization’s emphasis on mentoring and guiding children. Ultimately, to economically empower any group, the children have to obtain a great education and solid mentoring, and that is at the heart of what the Urban League of Palm Beach County does.

By contributing my legal skills pro bono as General Counsel, I am able to give back to the community in a meaningful way and support the Urban League’s charge to “empower community and change lives.”
I joined the Urban League of PBC Board of Directors because of their long-standing commitment and positive impact in the community.

Dr. Mary Ann DuPont

I joined the Urban League of PBC Board of Directors because it recognizes that the future of Palm Beach County will be no greater than the one we prepare our community to build. To this end, it works to ensure that the words in its mission statement become reality, not just rhetoric.
Jim Gallagher, Jr.
I joined the Urban League of PBC Board of Directors because I wanted to continue my families legacy of service to the Community. My father served on the board for over a decade and upon his passing I took his place. Helping other less fortunate has been part of families DNA for more than 50 years in Palm Beach County.
I joined the Urban League of PBC Board of Directors because the work the Urban League does makes a real and sustainable difference in people’s lives and makes Palm Beach County a better place to live. There’s evidence and results in every client they serve and I’m proud to support their effort.

The Palm Beach Post
I want to serve a local organization that strives to make a difference by providing opportunities for the underserved to gain social equality. I want to use my time and talent to bring awareness to ULPBC by helping them tell their many stories of how local lives have been changed through access to education, financial, housing and social services. I want to a part of local impact efforts.

I joined the ULPBC Board of Directors because I saw the great things this organization was doing for its community. I am passionate about educating our youth and finding the proper path for every individual. The ULPBC has award winning programs to help students get off to a great start as well as partnerships to help those who have temporarily veered off path be successful.
