ULPBC Gets $50,000 from Florida Power & Light

The Urban League of Palm Beach County received $50,000 from Florida Power & Light during our 45th Annual Equal Opportunity Day Awards Gala on May 31st at the Palm Beach Convention Center.

FP&L, our long-time corporate partner and the event’s title sponsor, presented the grant to be used toward meeting our agency’s mission of helping African-Americans and minorities achieve social and economic equality.

“Our community is a better place because of Florida Power & Light,” said Patrick Franklin, President and CEO of Urban League of Palm Beach County. “We are so thankful for their generosity in helping us do what we do best: make life better for underserved people in our community.”
