Thanks to FPL and DeLuca Foundation, Urban League of Palm Beach County STEM Students and Their Families Attend Interactive Show

FPL and DeLuca Foundation sponsored some of our STEM students and their families to have the opportunity this past Friday to experience a live and interactive performance at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts featuring National Geographic Live: Terry Virts  – View from Above.

After the show, we met with the students to ask them their thoughts on the performance.

Here were some of their responses:

“I thought that tonight’s show was awesome, it almost felt like we were really in space,” Tayari (13) said.

“I can’t wait to come back for another performance!” said Janiya (13), who was accompanied by her mother and grandmother.

“I really liked the presenter (Terry Virts). He was funny and made me think about my plans for the future” said Jameelah (13). She continued to express that her and her dad really enjoyed the space launch.

“It was my favorite part! It reminded me of when we went to the Kennedy Center last year and when we rode the rocket simulation ride!”  Nicholia (13) who brought her mother, father and little sister to the performance couldn’t get over the views from space. “It made me feel really small.”

We are thankful for the generous partnerships and contributions of FPL and the DeLuca Foundation for making attending this event possible for our families and students who are engaged in our STEM programs.
