Students Stand Out During Urban League of Palm Beach County Visit To South Florida Science Center
On a recent trip to the South Florida Science Center, students from the Urban League of Palm Beach County visited exhibits and did experiments.
Michael Johnson, 11, and Alejandra Stephens, 11, were among them.
They are sixth graders from Roosevelt Middle School in West Palm Beach who were at the front of the pack, acting as our makeshift guides, reading signs aloud for the other students, and conquering the various activities.
Alejandra even volunteered to go first into a hurricane simulator with winds of up to 25 mph.
Both students are examples to others. They show up to class on time, ready to engage with the lessons of the day. And they encourage each other to be accountable and keep their peers entertained with their banter.
We are proud of them and all of our students!
