Act Against AIDS Initiative

Get tested and learned more about HIV/AIDS.

Our Act Against AIDS Initiative focuses on helping African-Americans and other minorities understand HIV/AIDS and how they spread, and the importance of getting HIV tested. We concentrate on the Act Against AIDS campaign and integrate Center for Disease Control campaign materials.

December 1st                      World AIDS Day

February 7th                        National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

March 10th                          National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

April 10th                             National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

June 27th                            National HIV Testing Day

September 18th                  National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day


  • Free rapid oral HIV testing
  • Linkage to care
  • Observance of National HIV/AIDS days
  • Information sessions
  • Free male and female condoms, lubrication and dental dams
  • HepC testing

Target population and participation requirements

Services are available anonymously, free of charge and with post-test counseling to any and all Urban League of Palm Beach County clients and walk-ins.

  • Informed consent, either orally or written is required
  • No parental consent required
