Participants in Teen Outreach Program Plant Flowers, Vegetables and Other Greenery as Part of Community Service Learning Project

Teens in the Urban League of Palm Beach County’s Teen Outreach Program recently took part in a service project: planting greeneries in their community.

The group members in the Pahokee Period 7 TOP Club showed high participation, excitement and enthusiasm when completing the project.

At first, the teens decorated planter pots with their own designs. Then, they chose from an array of flowers, vegetables, and other greenery.

After that, members watered their plants and placed them by a sunny window seal.

The teens then continued watering and monitoring their plants.

After a week, the plants were starting to sprout.

As imagined, the teens were visibly excited to see their hard work come to life.
